Sidewalks
On June 8, 2015, the West Earl Township Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance #230- "Sidewalks, Requiring Maintenance Repairs to Sidewalks". One of the most important components of the ordinance places the responsibility for maintaining and repairing a sidewalk on the owner of the property that abuts that sidewalk.
If your property abuts a sidewalk that is in need of repair or replacement you will receive a letter from the Township notifying you. The timeframe to bring your sidewalk into compliance with the Sidewalk Ordinance will be within six months from the date on the letter.
